To install openSUSE Leap (LINUX) system on Hyper-V, kindly follow the steps below:
Firstly, you must have Hyper-V installed on your machine, then you must download the Image of openSUSE Leap file from here
After that open Hyper-V and right-click on your PC's name then select "Virtual Machine"
The Wizard will appear, click "Next"
Write the Name of the System e.g: "SUSE-Linux" and click "Browse" to select the Folder where you want to store the System's files in it then click "Next"
Select the Generation of the CPU you want to integrate with this Virtual Machine, (I selected Genration 2) then click "Next"
Type the Amount of RAM you want to allocate for this System, then click "Next"
Select the "Network Card" if you want to integrate it in the System, or else select "Not Connected" then click "Next"
Just type the amount of Hard Disk Drive Capacity for the System then click "Next"
Now you need to select the "Image" file which contains the openSUSE Leap installation files, select "Install an operating system from a bootable image file" then click "Browse" then select the downloaded file which you downloaded in step1 then click "Next"
Now Click "Finish", the wizard is finished and you are now ready to begin the installation process of the system
Double click on the system name you just created ( in my example it is "SUSE-LINUX")
A window will be opened, now click on File then select "Settings"
Select "Security" from the left menu, then clear "Enable Secure Boot" from the right menu then click "OK"
Click on the "Power" Button to start the Virtual Machine
The installation wizard will appear, Press "Enter" on Keyboard of click on "Installation" then click "Next" for the next following windows until you see the "Click and Time Zone" window, just select your time zone then click "Next"
Create a user account to be used to login to the system then click "Next"
Now Click "Install" to begin the system installation process, this process will take a while, after that the Virtual Machine will restart and the main window of the system will appear
Great Job! you have just installed the system, now the main window will appear, just enter your username and/or password which you created during the installation process, then press "Enter" on the keyboard or click "unlock"
Congratulations! You are done!
